While this post isn’t directly related to chatbots specifically, my pChat script is where my chatbot, Morti, will be “living”, and with this being the case, it’s relevant to the development of my chatbot. Thus, I feel that this is a good place to post.
Anyway, my chatroom script, pChat 2.0, is very close to live Alpha testing, and I’m looking for a couple of volunteers to help me test various functions of the script. One feature that I particularly want to have tested is the “telescope” that I’ve built into the script. It uses the Google Earth plugin, and allows the user to “focus” on a wide variety of astronomical bodies and objects that lie outside our solar system (bodies within the solar system move too much to have reliable coordinates that a user can use to focus on, so the Google Earth plugin doesn’t even try to display them). The telescope also has a “fallback” option that loads random images from NASA’s APOD website to cover in-system bodies, or other out-system objects, as well (such as Hoag’s Object, or the various nebulae). I’m REALLY proud of the way that the telescope has turned out, so obviously I want to show it off.
If you’re interested in helping me Alpha test the script, please let me know, and I’ll provide a link for you. Once initial Alpha testing is complete, I’ll make the link public.
