Dave’s sudden accident, and the obvious inadequacy of chatbots as real world assisitve technology has started me thinking. Semantic Compaction Systems, such as Minspeak, a form of assistive sequential pictographic speech synthesis have just popped up on my radar for the first time. It’s like a different kind of chatbot for real people, facing real challenges.
