What Acquire.io lacks that many other live web chat platforms do not, is a comprehensive set of chatbot marketing tools.

Acquire.io does utilize machine learning, had a code-free chatbot builder and allows you to build custom workflows. However, it’s also one of the more highly-priced live chat software and chatbot builders on the market.

The absence of more outbound marketing tools, along with having more native live chat agent tools, makes Acquire.io more of a niche product that comes at a particularly high price point.

  • No outbound marketing tools: Acquire.io is lacking outbound marketing tools. If you’re looking for a chatbot built for marketing automation with omnichannel capabilities, Acquire.io is probably not the chatbot platform for you.
  • Limited marketing channels: Acquire.io doesn’t have a Facebook Messenger chatbot, a true SMS marketing option, and is almost solely built for live chat support. Many of the best web chat apps offer more marketing channels at a lower overall price point.
  • Pricing: For what Acquire.io offers from a feature and channel standpoint, the product is priced much higher than its direct competitors. The assumption is that Acquire io charges a premium for its built-in audio and video chat capabilities. However, with all of the cheap or free solutions available for those features, their value continues to decrease over time, while other chatbots built for marketing and sales have much more useful features and automation tools.

Acquire io just recently required you to contact them for pricing details. Furthermore, there is no free trial available as of April 2020.

Earlier in 2020, Acquire io had three pricing tiers: Basic, Pro, and Enterprise.

The Basic pricing plan for Acquire.io was $300 per month + $40/month per additional agent. The Basic plan is for small companies and early-stage startups.

Acquire.io Pro pricing plan was $950 per month + $50/month per additional agent. The Pro plan is for medium-sized and growing businesses.

The Enterprise pricing plan for Acquire.io required you to contact Acquire for details. This is now the case for all pricing.

Acquire io Review - Final Analysis

Although Acquire.io is one of the better live chat software providers due to its built-in features for video, audio, and screen share, ultimately the platform is overpriced and lacking on the side of marketing.

When you can use tools like Zoom and Voyage for digital calls and recording at a fraction of the price, and get more features and functionality for video and audio, the value of Acquire io decreases compared to other live chat platforms that have marketing automation tools and multi-channel web chat apps as well.

This isn’t to say that Acquire.io is a great solution for many companies. However, the majority of businesses would benefit much more from omnichannel chatbots with outbound marketing tools that cost far less than the Acquire.io platform.
