Summary: Lodz Papers in Pragmatics covers wide range of interdisciplinary issues related to linguistics.
Lodz Papers in Pragmatics (LPP) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal released biannually. It seeks to bring together various linguistic disciplines, notably: pragmatics, semantics, semiotics, philosophy of language, sociolinguistics, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, translation, and computational linguistics. LPP is committed to publishing excellent theoretical and empirical research focused on broadly conceptualised human communication, both in everyday interactions and in the media, whether spoken or written, and whether institutional or interpersonal. We invite papers addressing all manner of topics and issues, for instance: speech acts, neo-Gricean and post-Gricean pragmatics, (im)politeness, political discourse, metaphor and metonymy, representation and discursive dimensions of identity, multimodal advertising, gender, and humour. The list is by no means exhaustive.
